Documents

In order to pass the Croatian boarder you are required to have a driver’s license and a proof of car insurance.

In case of renting a car (rent-a-car) it is desirable to have an international driver’s license. This license is issued by your head office. If you enter the territory of the Croatian Republic with international vehicle registration plates you are required to have an International document or proof of insurance against third-party liability of motor vehicle owners valuable on territory of the European Union. International documents and proofs are the official registration plate on the vehicle, which is usually stationed on the territory of the country whose National Office is a signatory of the Multilateral treaty, meaning, a valuable Green Card issued for the vehicle in case the vehicle’s origin is from a country whose National Insurance Office is not a signatory of the Multilateral treaty, and other documents and proofs evaluated by the Croatian office of Insurance.
